Our Approach To Light Therapy

Chronic pain, inflammation, and injury recovery can affect every part of daily life. Many people rely on medications to manage symptoms, but non-invasive therapies are becoming increasingly popular for supporting the body’s natural healing processes.

Light therapy uses specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to stimulate cellular repair, improve circulation, and reduce inflammation in damaged or irritated tissue. Because of these effects, light therapy is widely used to help address musculoskeletal pain, nerve irritation, and slow-healing injuries.

Conditions That Improve With Light Therapy

Light therapy can support recovery for a wide range of musculoskeletal and nerve-related conditions. Many patients seek treatment for chronic pain, inflammation, or injuries that have not improved with other approaches.

Common conditions treated with light therapy include:

What to Expect During a Light Therapy Treatment

What to Expect at Your First Visit

Every new patient starts with a free consultation. Kellie will talk through what's going on, what you've already tried, and whether photobiomodulation is a good fit for your situation. If it is, she'll build a treatment protocol specific to your condition and walk you through exactly what your sessions will look like.

Here's what each treatment actually involves:

Whole Body Pod

You'll lie down inside the pod — fully clothed, partially clothed, or unclothed, however you're most comfortable. Because photons don't penetrate clothing, we recommend uncovering any areas you're treating. Most patients undress to whatever level feels right for their condition and their comfort level. There's no pressure either way.

Sessions typically run 20–30 minutes. Most patients find it deeply relaxing — some fall asleep. There's no discomfort, and nothing to do but lie still while the light works.

Concentrated Laser Therapy

This treatment is applied directly to a specific area by a staff member using a handheld device. Sessions are quick, usually around 15 minutes, and completely pain-free. You'll wear protective eyewear throughout. The laser targets concentrated light to a precise location, making it particularly effective for localized pain, inflammation, and injury recovery.

Light Therapy Helmet

The helmet is worn like a hat while you sit comfortably in a chair. Eyes closed, 3 to 5 minutes. That's it.

It's primarily used for migraines, chronic headaches, and traumatic brain injury. Most patients are surprised by how simple it is. There's nothing to prepare for and nothing to recover from afterward. The simplicity is part of what makes it easy to incorporate into a regular protocol.

A few things that are true across all three:

There's no recovery time. You can drive yourself, go back to work, and carry on with your day immediately after. Treatments are non-invasive, drug-free, and have no known side effects when administered correctly. Most patients notice changes gradually over the course of their protocol, some notice changes immediately after a single session.

If you have questions about any of this before you book, send us a message. We'd rather answer them now than have you wonder.
