Photobio..what?
What we do here at Advantage Therapy Solutions goes by many names:

Laser Biostimulation
Photobiomodulation
Low Level Light Therapy
Low Level Laser Therapy
Light Therapy
Cold Laser
Low Level Cold Laser
Phototherapy
LED Therapy
PBM
...and so many more!
What do these words mean?
Each of these words mean the exact same thing. They are all words that are used to describe phototherapy. Phototherapy is the use of Light Emitting Diodes (LED) to stimulate cells with wavelength specific photo energy to heal your body on a cellular level. The scientific term for this process is photobiomodulation, or PBM for short.
We have many scientific journal articles linked on this site, and most of them use the term Low Level Laser Therapy. This may be confusing, but again, it means the exact same thing.
WHY?
Why is this one process called so many different names? Two reasons. First, it took a while for scientists to come to consensus about what to call it. Second, different manufacturers of phototherapy devices use different names so that they can stand apart from the crowd. That is how terms like "cold laser" came about.
