Erika grew up in Connecticut and earned both her Bachelors and Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology at Marist College in New York, where she met her husband of 22 years. Erika worked almost 10 years in the mental health field with clients of all ages and backgrounds, in VA and psychiatric hospitals, schools, outpatient clinics and residential treatment homes, and later chose to apply her counseling skills in various ministry settings.
Erika and her family of five moved to Greenville NC and heard about the work happening at ATS and began exploring photobiomodulation and its ability to bring healing at a cellular level. Impressed by the medical studies and treatment outcomes of using this safe and effective modality of light therapy to treat patients with brain and musculoskeletal disorders, Erika became certified as a PBM laser therapist. She thoroughly enjoys treating patients with PBM and seeing them benefit from less inflammation and pain, greater range of motion, improved overall functioning and ultimately, greater hope and emotional well being.
When not helping patients experience greater healing, Erika enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, meeting friends for coffee, reading, and enjoying the outdoors on a hike, in the pool, or at the beach.
